Austin Carter Mahone or Austin Mahone (born in San Antonio, Texas on April 4, 1996) is an American pop singer who became popular in 2011 due to a viral video of his performance. Personal life

Mahone was born in San Antonio, Texas. His father died when he was 16 months old, and he grew up in Texas with his mother, who lived in the cities of Seguin, San Antonio and La Vernia. After her mother divorced her second husband, Mahone moved back to San Antonio and the Lady Bird Johnson briefly attended high school, but soon had to drop out and be home schooled because of his growing fame.
